How long does giclee printing take?

Most giclee printing orders are completed and dispatched within 3-5 working days from when we receive your payment. Please note this timeline starts from payment confirmation, not from when you send us your artwork files.

Need your Giclee prints faster? We offer an express Giclee printing service that guarantees production and delivery within 3 to 5 working days. This expedited service includes priority production scheduling and faster courier delivery to any UK mainland address. Get in touch with our team to discuss express giclee printing options for your project.

What’s the maximum size for giclee prints?

Our professional giclee printing equipment handles media up to 60 inches (1524mm) wide. To ensure clean edges and professional finishing, we allow 10mm trimming space on each side, giving you a comfortable maximum width of 59 inches (1494mm).

When it comes to length, there’s virtually no limit. Whether you need a standard print or a dramatic panoramic giclee print, we can accommodate 60 inches wide by any length you require. Perfect for large scale artwork, architectural prints, and statement pieces.

Which printers do you use for giclee printing?

Our giclee printing studio uses professionally calibrated Canon imagePROGRAF Pro series printers. These include the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro 6200, a sophisticated 12 colour system designed specifically for fine art and photographic reproduction on a 60 inch roll.

Every printer in our giclee printing facility undergoes rigorous colour profiling matched to each paper and canvas type we stock. This meticulous calibration process guarantees accurate colour reproduction and consistency across all your giclee prints, whether you’re ordering one print or one hundred.

Can you handle RGB colour files?

Absolutely. Our giclee printing workflow is optimized for RGB files. Our professional RIP software prioritizes pure red, green, and blue channels from our 12 colour ink system, delivering exceptional colour vibrancy.

This RGB focused approach to giclee printing produces stunning results, particularly for bright colours like vivid oranges, electric blues, vibrant greens, and rich purples that other printing methods struggle to reproduce accurately.

What image resolution works best for giclee printing?

For optimal giclee printing results, we recommend 300 PPI (pixels per inch). This resolution ensures your giclee prints display sharp detail and closely match your original artwork’s quality.

Working with lower resolution files? Don’t worry. Our giclee printing team can often work with images below 300 PPI, and we offer professional upscaling services. Contact us to discuss your specific files and we’ll advise on the best approach for your giclee printing project.

Do you offer colour proofing for giclee prints?

Yes, we provide soft proofing and hard copy proof options for giclee printing projects. Colour accuracy matters enormously in fine art reproduction, so we encourage proofing for important editions or when precise colour matching is essential.

Our colour managed giclee printing workflow means what you see on a calibrated monitor closely matches your final print. For absolute certainty, we can produce a physical proof on your chosen paper before running your full giclee printing order.

What file formats do you accept for giclee printing?

We accept TIFF, JPEG, PSD, PDF, and PNG files for giclee printing. TIFF files are preferred for fine art giclee printing as they preserve the highest quality without compression.

Whichever format you send, make sure your files are flattened with all layers merged and saved in RGB colour mode at 300 PPI for the best giclee printing results. If you’re unsure about file preparation, our team is happy to guide you through the process.

Can you print from original artwork or slides?

Yes, our giclee printing services include professional scanning and digitization of original paintings, drawings, and photographic slides. We use high resolution scanning equipment to capture every detail of your physical artwork.

Once digitized, we can produce giclee prints that faithfully reproduce your originals. This service is particularly valuable for artists without access to professional photography equipment or for reproducing vintage photographic work stored on film.

Do you provide paper samples?

We offer paper sample packs so you can see and feel the difference between our various giclee printing media before placing your order. There’s no substitute for holding actual paper samples when choosing the right surface for your artwork.

Contact us to request a paper sample pack. We’ll send you small examples of our most popular papers and canvas options used in our giclee printing, helping you make an informed decision about which material best suits your artistic vision.

What’s your quality guarantee for giclee printing?

We stand behind every giclee print that leaves our studio. If your prints don’t meet our exacting standards for colour accuracy, sharpness, and finish, we’ll reprint them at no charge.

Our giclee printing process includes thorough quality checks at multiple stages. However, if you receive prints that don’t match your expectations due to production error, we’ll make it right. Customer satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for exceptional giclee printing quality is paramount.

Can you handle large volume giclee printing orders?

Definitely. Whether you need a single giclee print or a limited edition run of hundreds, our giclee printing facility can accommodate your requirements. We work with individual artists, galleries, photographers, and publishers on projects of all scales.

For larger giclee printing orders or ongoing partnerships, we offer competitive volume pricing and can provide fulfillment services, storing your inventory and shipping directly to your customers. Get in touch to discuss how we can support your giclee printing needs.

What makes your giclee printing archival quality?

Archival giclee printing requires three essential elements, and we deliver on all of them. First, we use only genuine Canon archival pigment inks rated for 100+ years of lightfastness. Second, we print exclusively on acid free, museum quality papers and canvas from Hahnemuhle, Innova, and Origin. Third, our equipment undergoes monthly calibration to maintain consistent, accurate output.

This combination ensures your giclee prints resist fading, yellowing, and deterioration far longer than conventional printing methods. Your artwork deserves to last for generations, and our archival giclee printing makes that possible.

What paper types do you offer for giclee printing?

We stock a comprehensive range of fine art papers from leading manufacturers including Hahnemühle, Innova, and Canson. Options include smooth cotton rag papers like Photo Rag and Etching, textured watercolour papers, bright white papers for vivid colour reproduction, and natural white options for a classic fine art look.

Each paper has unique characteristics that suit different artwork styles. Our team can recommend the ideal paper for your specific project, whether you’re reproducing oil paintings, watercolours, photographs, or digital art.

Do you offer canvas printing?

Yes, canvas giclee printing is one of our most popular services. We use premium artist-grade cotton and poly-cotton blend canvases that provide excellent ink absorption and vibrant colour reproduction. Our canvas prints have that authentic textured finish that collectors and galleries expect.

Canvas prints can be supplied rolled for you to stretch yourself, or we offer professional gallery wrap stretching onto solid pine stretcher bars. We also provide framing services if you want a complete ready-to-hang artwork.

How should I prepare my artwork files?

For best results, submit your files in RGB colour mode at 300 PPI at your desired print size. TIFF format is ideal as it preserves maximum quality, though high-quality JPEG, PSD, and PDF files work well too. Flatten all layers before saving.

Don’t have the technical expertise to prepare files correctly? No problem. Send us what you have and our pre-press team will assess your files and advise on any adjustments needed. We’re here to help you get the best possible giclee prints from your artwork.

Do you offer framing services?

Yes, we provide professional framing as part of our complete giclee printing service. Choose from a wide selection of solid wood mouldings in various finishes including natural oak, black, white, and metallic options. All our frames use acid-free mounting and conservation-grade materials.

We offer frames with a glass alternative called plexi glass, it makes it easier to ship and avoids breakages. Plexi glass is designed to have very similar qualities to glass without the risk of breaking in transit. We also offer contemporary floating frames for canvas prints. Our framers have years of experience presenting fine art, so your giclee prints will look their absolute best when they reach you.

What is the minimum order for giclee printing?

There is no minimum order. We’re equally happy printing a single A4 proof as we are producing a run of 500 limited edition prints. Many of our customers start with a single test print to check colours before committing to a larger order.

For artists and photographers building an inventory, we offer volume discounts on larger orders. Contact us with your requirements and we’ll provide a competitive quote tailored to your project.

How do I send my artwork files?

Small files under 25MB can be emailed directly to us. For larger files, we recommend using WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, or any file sharing service you prefer. Simply send us the download link and we’ll retrieve your files promptly.

If you have multiple files or a complex project, you can also arrange to send files via FTP. Just contact us and we’ll provide access details. All files are stored securely and deleted after your order is complete unless you request otherwise.

Can you add borders or margins to my prints?

Absolutely. We can add white borders of any size to your giclee prints, which is particularly useful for traditional framing where the print sits behind a window mount. Standard border options include 25mm, 50mm, and custom sizes to suit your framing requirements.

For canvas prints, we typically mirror or extend the image edges to wrap around the stretcher bars, creating a clean gallery-style finish. Let us know your preference when ordering and we’ll set up your files accordingly.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, we ship giclee prints worldwide. International orders are carefully packaged in robust tubes or flat packs and sent via tracked courier services. Delivery times and costs vary by destination, but typically range from 5-14 working days for most countries.

For international orders, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order. We’ll advise on the best shipping method and any customs considerations for your specific destination.

Can I collect my order in person?

Yes, collection from our studio is available and there’s no delivery charge for orders you pick up yourself. We’ll notify you when your giclee prints are ready, and you can arrange a convenient time to collect during our business hours.

Our studio is easily accessible from west  London, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. Collection is popular with local artists and those ordering large or fragile items who prefer to transport their prints personally.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Bank transfers are also welcome for larger orders. Payment is required before production begins on your giclee prints.

For trade customers and galleries with regular orders, we can arrange account terms after an initial period. Contact us to discuss trade pricing and payment arrangements for your business.
