Giclée Printing FAQ
What resolution do I need for giclée printing?
We recommend a minimum of 300 PPI at the intended print size. The Giclée Designer will alert you if your file is below 150 PPI, which is the minimum we accept. Files below 300 PPI may still produce acceptable results depending on the viewing distance and subject matter.
What file formats do you accept?
JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIC and WEBP. Maximum file size 50MB. For large originals or RAW files, please contact us to discuss file submission options.
How long does giclée printing take?
Orders are typically dispatched within 3 to 5 working days. Express options are available at checkout for faster turnaround. Delivery to most UK mainland addresses takes 1 to 2 working days from dispatch.
What is the maximum print size?
Our printer handles widths up to 60 inches (approximately 152cm). The usable print area is up to 59 inches wide (approximately 150cm) allowing for borders and margins. Length is virtually unlimited in roll format.
Do you offer colour profiling?
Yes. Every paper we stock has a custom ICC profile optimised for our printer. This ensures that colours are printed as accurately as possible relative to your original file. We also advise on colour space settings — we work in sRGB and Adobe RGB.
Can I get prints without visiting in person?
Absolutely. The great majority of our customers order entirely online through the Giclée Designer, submit their files digitally, and receive their prints by tracked delivery. We serve customers throughout the UK and internationally.
Is giclée printing suitable for limited editions?
Yes, and it is the industry standard for limited edition fine art prints. Our consistent colour management across a full edition ensures that print 1 and print 50 are indistinguishable in colour and quality.
